Green Party member. Still upset about having my European citizenship stolen from me by liars and cheaters. Very worried about a Trump 2.0 presidency and what that will mean for the whole world.
Mum to the most adorable boy in the world and a gorgeous cat.

Pleased with myself for having been to the gym. I never really want to go, but I regularly want to have been.

Not having the best start to the week. One of my tyres came off as I was on the M6 heading to the garage for my car’s service. It was a bit chilly waiting for the AA to come and put a spare wheel on, but I’m now safe and sound at the garage. Appreciating the free hot drinks.

I have finished writing the Psalm settings for Year B. Just need to finish typing them up, then I’ll print them all out and sing them through to check them.

My gorgeous and adorable boy arrived yesterday with 2 support workers. The support workers left after lunch. My boy stayed. It was supposed to be a sleepover, but he didn’t get the memo that sleepovers involve actual sleep. I was already shattered from prepping Christmas almost single-handedly. 🥱😴

No, I’m not going to Strawberry Fair.

I came to the realisation at the gym this morning while on the abductor machine that I don’t need to push to the extreme and make my arthritic left hip sore, as long as I can feel my glutes working. That should save me some pain today!

I am ridiculously tired. I’ve been on a training course today, but I had to drive a 125 mile round trip to get there and back.

I’m gonna file that under “No shit, Sherlock”!

My husband keeps forgetting that you need to put more water in the microwave rice cooker for brown rice. I left him unsupervised to make his own lunch and he melted my rice cooker. That’s the third one now. I’m going to stop trying to boost his gut health and I’m going to buy some white rice!

Ugh. My twin sister and her husband are supposed to be travelling up from Warwickshire to see us in Cumbria tomorrow. But this storm is making that seem unlikely now. :(

I have today sent my responsorial Psalter for Year A to Colloquium for approval. My Year C Psalter is finished and ready to be released into the world. I have started writing the rest of the settings for Year B.

I’ve seen a load of images posted here (some of them screenshots of text) that don’t have alt-text; meaning people who need screen readers to access posts are missing out. If the picture is important to the post it needs to be made accessible. Can we normalise making stuff accessible, please?

I used to waste quite a bit of time on Twitter, back in the day. Then Musk ruined it and rebranded it and I left. I missed being able to connect with other left-leaning people so I’m looking forward to finding my community here.
