I am a Christian and mental health counselor and I LOVE the Bible!
A new year. A renewed surrender. A God who already knows the plans He has for us—plans for hope and a future. Joy comes in the morning.

Joy Comes in the Morning -
Joy comes in the morning: The New Year is a fresh opportunity to give God the wheel in whatever way He is calling you to do so.

Each of us has our own story, but the same faithful God. The New Year is a fresh invitation to trust Him with the direction of our lives.

When God takes the wheel, He leads us places we never could have planned—but always exactly where we’re meant to be. Letting go was the best decision I ever made.

I had success, security, and stability—yet no peace. When I trusted God enough to let go, everything changed. Sometimes surrender is the beginning of joy.

Christmas reminds us of God’s gift. The New Year invites us to surrender again. Weeping may last for the night, but joy truly comes in the morning. 🌅

Jesus came as the King of Israel…
and ascended as the King for all nations.

That shift—from the covenant of the Law to the covenant of grace—finally clicked for me.

The Magi’s question still amazes me:
“Where is the one who has been born King of the Jews?” (Matt. 2:2)

I wrote about how that moment reframed the whole Christmas story for me.

“The First Noel” finally makes sense to me:
Jesus wasn’t just born—He was born as Israel’s promised King.

And through Him, God’s grace became available to everyone.

I just published a new reflection on what “Born the King of Israel” really means in The First Noel.

I’ve sung it all my life but never grasped how literally Jesus fulfilled that title—and how His kingship opened grace to the whole world.

Jesus compared His return to the days of Noah—unexpected, but full of meaning. ⛅
This isn’t meant to scare us, but to call us back to Him.
I dive into this powerful reminder in my new post.

If God is perfectly loving AND perfectly just, then evil doesn’t get the final word.
That truth gives me peace every single day. 🌿
I wrote about how God’s justice brings comfort, not fear.

God’s judgment is real—and so is His mercy.
My prayer:
• Grow my courage
• Strengthen my endurance
• Teach me to love enough to tell the truth
• Make my life reflect Jesus without compromise

Revelation makes it clear:
Those who turn away from Jesus face judgment.
Those who turn toward Him receive grace, mercy, and life.
I don’t want anyone to miss the Kingdom of God.
Help me speak truth with love.

Proclaiming Jesus is hard. Silence is easy.
But the early church risked everything so others could enter the Kingdom of God.
My discomfort is so small in comparison.
Lord, give me courage.

Revelation 2:1–5 feels like a personal wake-up call.
The Ephesian church worked hard but drifted from their first love.
I don’t want my own love for Jesus to grow dim or comfortable.
“Return to your first love.”

Studying Revelation is reminding me how easy it is to compromise—not by denying Jesus outright but by staying silent.
I don’t want to fall into that “sin of omission” anymore.
Lord, make me bold again.
