Many of us second these emotions, even decades later. Great idea! We've adopted elderly neighbors in our community and having moved away from where my mom is buried, I take flowers to local cemeteries on Mother's Day and leave them for others who may be in my same situation.

you can tell your employer why you aren’t recruiting or interviewing, if you’d like. after all, why would you encourage people to come work at a place that so clearly doesn’t care about them? but you can also just politely decline. these activities aren’t billable. you’re busy.

to that end: please find attached/below a toolkit for biglaw associates, particularly at EEOC demand letter firms, to respond to this absolute spinelessness in a less drastic way than i did! we’re requesting associates refuse to participate in recruiting activities, including interviews.
