Just a weird RN student who likes alligators. 𝘓𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘻 𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘳!

Born intersex, and no longer hiding it. Sorry-not-sorry.
Unfortunately I'm limited to 1 device, and my campus doesn't allow us to use their computers to use social media. I've attached a screenshot of how it appears on my end despite only doing pre-screening questions.

If it's updated to where it can be finished, let me know! Otherwise, good luck. 😊

Hi, I tried to take it but had to step away to tend to a patient (while I was in the pre-question stage to see if I'd count or not). By the time I came back, the survey had timed out and it will not let me finish it or retake it.

up in my being called a "bitch" a few times (I wasn't, I only spoke and behaved the same way a masc man would, contrary to my appearance) but for the most part people have settled and learned I know my stuff, and not to try to be an obstacle in my way. (2/2)

Femme-appearing #intersex person here. Usually I immediately volunteer for the projects I'm able to do, so that I can steerhead it. It builds up my portfolio and reputation.

In general, I remain cordial but do not tolerate patronizing or dismissive behavior aimed my way whatsoever. It's wound (1/2)

And if you do extra well, she'll let you eat a tactical tourniquet from the ambulance!

Wu Yu-lin alongside "The untold origin story of the N95 mask" by Mark Wilson. Those both talk about Dr. Wu Lien-teh, who pioneered the face mask and had a huge hand in battling plague and developing other medical protocols. (2/2)

I don't have any specific titles for this, but the Typhus epidemics during WWI are worth looking at.

I highly recommend "Manchurian plague, 1910-11" by Iain Meiklejohn - and to supplement it, "Memories Of Dr Wu Lien-teh, Plague Fighter" by (1/2)

I re-write what I learned as a "lesson plan" to teach other people, and then sometimes help peers by tutoring them.

Less for studying and more for general life and time constraints, I automated everything I could in my daily life to open up time for myself.

Quick, start using obscure medical terminology from the 16th century!

I'm here, and some of my friends may come along soon too. If BlueSky's #ChildfreeByChoice community turns out to be non-toxic (a lot of other online ones are weird and obsessed with being hateful to kids or parents), we'll hop in!

Oh, we're around. My friends and I generally don't interact with online childfree groups though, since they tend to become pretty toxic and more obsessed with child-hate than just . . . living and celebrating happy childfree lives. I don't doubt others do similarly.

Oof, those are hard to sit down and focus for. Good luck!

Oh, what precious little darlings! My heart melted! 😭

It took me a moment to register that you meant Fire as a person. A [future] RN with pyromania made complete sense to me.

Good luck with your NCLEX, I bet you'll do great!

Good luck with your classes and passing the NCLEX! Welcome to BlueSky!
