Storm count is 2, connect with Storm, Force of Nature, cast Gitaxian Probe and look at everyone’s hands, draw 3. Deck is fun.

My toxic trait is casting into boardstate I haven’t fully thought through. (I *think* this made 35 copies of Cerulean Wisps on the stack, causing me to draw 72 cards. I had to Pyroblast my own Archmage to find a win that didn’t deck me first.)

Isn’t Rendezvous just a hug card? 1:1, not 1:3? If we’re going for that category (something that helps me and one other opponent and I can politically choose them), may I introduce you to my favorite soft boi? He is always open for business.

Gev, Scaled Scorch w/ Warstorm Surge and a bunch of Dash/Warp/Evoke creatures and The Ozolith. B/R counters that can still occasionally beat down.

Judge! What happens if you cast Avatar’s Wrath targeting Zada (with say nine other creatures under your control?) does it create nine copies of Avatar’s Wrath on the stack? Does this do anything interesting?

When Rad Storm dropped I realized I’m playing 0-cost cards and 1-drop cantrips — but only one Storm card (Ground Rift). I only need Rotpriest to get the Poison train rolling. I could Storm Proliferate my way to victory. Then lightning struck — why not use Storm as my commander?

When Rad Storm dropped I realized I’m playing 0-cost cards and 1-drop cantrips — but only one Storm card (Ground Rift). I only need Rotpriest to get the Poison train rolling. I could Storm Proliferate my way to victory. Then lightning struck — why not use Storm as my commander?
Phyrexia (and subsequent sets) gave us Venerated Rotpriest and friends to synergize with Zada, making Infect a more viable wincon than combat. And the bans made casting Tazri harder. Ever since I’ve been optimizing the Infect lines, but lamenting how slow the deck became.

But we made it work. Some ramp here. A few cEDH staples there. Recruiters. We could reliably either cast Tazri or find Zada early enough. Then two things happened in 20234/24 that changed my trajectory: Jeweled Lotus and Dockside got banned, and the Phyrexia: AWBO set dropped.

So now we need a somewhat useful Commander in more colors. Could there be one with some strategy for helping my find my now secret commander Zada? Enter the general. Tazri gives us all five colors and tutors for Zada. One problem — she costs 4W. Oof. Five drops aren’t my bag.

At the time I combined my first Norin deck with a Krenko deck, so between mono red and Goblin strategies, Zada had too much overlap for my taste. I wanted to try something different. “What if I had access to more cantrips from other colors? One-drop instants that do two things?”

First pass at the Adrix & Nev secret Arwen/Walls of Ba Sing Se deck. I’ve had a lot of fun with Arwen as a mono green deck, but now I really want to try and run out of dice.

I know some folks are iffy about mixing their Universes Beyond but these two are k-i-s-s-i-n-g.

My first stop will be Doubling Season and Hornet Queen. Queen enters as a 2/2 with 60 +1/+1 counters and makes eight 1/1 insects with 60 +1/+1 counters. 550 power with flying and deathtouch. Second step will be either Koma.

So we Elvish Piper to get The Walls of Ba Sing Se for one mana, then Exchange of Words to switch The Walls’ text box with Arwen, Weaver of Hope. Now Walls is indestructible, and every creature we ETB gets 30 +1/+1 counters. Time to do degenerate Simic tokens counters stuff.
