instead of the ending feeling so cramped, rushed, and painfully whatever. There's some REALLY good ideas here that I love, like the bit with the monster and the blind guy and again how the bride reacts...but I just don't think it's executed well much if at all here, unfortunately. 6/10

lot more of a goofy turn than the prior and I can appreciate that; seeing the monster puffing a smonk and drinking alcohol was hilarious but I much, MUCH preferred the more serious, "what have I done" kind of tone that we had and I wish we had more of a dynamic between the Bride and Frankenstein

The Bride of Frankenstein (1935); and unfortunately I can't say nearly the same for the sequel. I think the bride's design is also super iconic and fantastic but...man what is with the intro? And the really goofy little people and that one bitchy old lady who won't shut up at all? The movie takes a

OF ALL HORROR AND ALL TIME when the lightning strikes the monster with the noise, sparks, and lights...it looks AMAZING! The general design of the monster is ridiculously iconic for a good reason, I LOVE the stitches and the bolts on the neck and the huge boots, everything about it is PERFECT. 11/10

* Frankenstein (1931); WOW this movie beat out Dawn for favorite movie I've watched this October, EVERYTHING about this movie was a total joy to watch and the dialogue is written extremely well. I love the plights of this madman playing god and making this monstrosity with ONE OF THE BEST SET PIECES

I love how everyone affected by Dracula's mind influence are still more or less the same person but when it comes to anything revolving around him when he knows, they can't do anything about it unless their will is strong enough. I will admit I personally liked White Zombie more but...still a 9/10.

* Dracula (1931); my main man Bela Lugosi at it again with a stellar performance as the one and only Dracula. I will admit I didn't like the ending, but man was everything else in this movie great from the acting to the score to the SETPIECIES and the ATMOSPHERE! It's definitely slow but still good!

A. motherfuckin' Romero as well, fucking fantastic ass zombies movie that tackles humanity in a dying world so well and how we would cope with it in what, I think, is one of if not the most realistic and fantastic way I've ever seen done on a film like this AND THE GORE FUCKIN' RULES. Easy 10/10.

and the idea of them being us being shown before it's mentioned is WAY better than when they did it at the end of the Night of the Living Dead remake. Not to mention, "When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the Earth." GOD WHAT A GREAT LINE. R.I.P. to the godfather of zombies George-

Also shoutout to David Emge (R.I.P.) for his performance as Flyboy (+ later on in the movie especially you know where) and all the other main actors. I wish the zombies were a lot gorier and had a lot more wear and tear, but the movie was still GREAT! I love how the zombies are still somewhat human-

* Dawn of the Dead (1978); holy FUCK the amount of inspiration on so much modern pop culture zombies shit is insane, the entire thing is just Dead Rising 1 and 2 and the ending stillshots are straight up Left 4 Dead, not to mention as slightly goofy as the practical effects are...for its time? WOW.-
