What about it? You can play nds games on the 3ds as far as I know. So you can certainly try it out on the 3ds. I am not sure how it's done however, but it should still be through twilightmenu++ if I'm not mistaken. Enjoy!

Well, I was specifically talking about nds hacking, as that is what you asked about. But yes, you're right. Each console does it differently. For example, the nds uses a file system (meaning there are files and folders), while the gba doesn't have that, it just puts it all in one place!

Not only that, but not all games are made in the same way. Some use conventional files that are common in many other games, while others opt to create their own file format for many stuff, which makes it harder to hack it.

Sorry for the long thread, but I can't exactly be too brief with this, as there is a lot of explaining. Hope that helps you, even a little! If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Good night!

a video series that documents my journey with this game, from how I started out to what I was able to eventually figure out once I actually finish translating it all, dividing each episode into a specific subject or file in the game. Tell if you might be interested in something like that! -

headstart. Other than that, you can always try to refer to manuals of how the ds works internally (which I believe can be found on a website called gbatek). If you want to try and get started on the basics, there is a great starter tutorial by @jonkode.su on his youtube channel, which is about-

Me personally, being a computer engineering student helped me out a lot, as I already knew a lot of how cpus work and the internal mechanics of a computer, and I also learned about arm9 code through a course I took, which really made it easier to get into it and to know what I'm doing, or what-

specifically, or they mostly explain how to use a tool on a surface level, something like crystal tile 2. For the most part, you won't find something that works on all ds games. To be able to actually get into rom hacking, you're going to have to do a lot of research, and I mean A LOT of it. -

Good morning to you! That's a very good question, which doesn't really have a straightforward answer. There really isn't a "guide" to tranlsate nds games. You may find some tutorials online on how to use some tools that are used in rom hacking, but most of them're either tools made for pokemon-

on them, I think. I hope to be able to mod it someday too! I have already dabbled with changing models, and it's not that hard honestly, but without actually understanding how they work, it'll be hard to do it consistently right. So yeah!

Well figuring out the dse files is part of the plan, but as of right now, I have no idea where to begin with them, so I'm just waiting till I finish translating everything I know how to translate, which all is left is the dialogue, and then going back to the dse files, as the title screen depends1/2

Well I initially thought of it because that is what I use, and because all rom hackers use it, whether for dumping or loading, and a quick internet search lead to the guide. So yeah! Glad it worked! Tell me what you think about it once you play it!
