Whatever you do, DONT LISTEN TO THEM. My parents told me this and said my surgeries shouldn’t be my main priority… I came out 6 years ago and could’ve had my surgeries done and over with 4 years ago. Now I might not be able to because of this admin.

Because their kid turned out differently than they expected. Rather than seeing the benefit in transitioning, its being unable to accept the loss of how they previously saw their child.

A lot of it is because parents plan out their kids lives and get disappointed when their plans are deviated from. My mom thought I would be a straight man with a wife and kids and me turning out a straight woman wanting kids is something she just cant accept because she wanted me to be a certain way

This. I had a VDA (viewer discretion advised) and it was still actually brutal. Hating the man and witnessing a person in his final moments of life are two entirely different things.

While true, I am not a fan of hyper-sanitization of speech. I don’t need to establish that I am queer, disabled, neurodivergent, woke, educated, empathetic, and sarcastic every time I make an edgy joke. As long as a joke is in good faith and/or self-deprecating then there should be no issue imo
