Lesser Beasts was a very interesting read. The research was impeccable. If anyone is interested in the history of pigs, I recommend it. However, some parts can be quite brutal.

Yeah, it's so awful. I read a book about pigs, and it said they were the most abused animals. This is how they should be living their lives, the pure joy

Commercial pig farming is disastrous to the environment,
Pigs feel emotions just as humans do, so when they are in these conditions, they are stressed beyond belief farmers even cut their tails short so other pigs can't chew on them out of boredom, insufficient stimulation and frustration.

Pigs are such beautiful and loving animals just look at this interaction between a pig and and his owner how could anyone hurt these beautiful animals. I want to cry.

This is the way pigs should be living their lives, not forced to become pregnant over and over in a cage, which she can never turn around, not able to see and greet her piglets for the first time until she has had so many litters her body gives up she dies, never even stepping on grass. #pigs

Commercial pig farming and consumption is extremely hazardous for the environment, just more reasons to stop eating these beautiful and intelligent animals.

This Christmas, why not cut pork from your diet? Also, if you're feeling bored, you can take some time to learn about what wonderful animals pigs are. Such love and intelligence and the way their lips curl just so. So much beauty in one animal. Swine what's not to love💓
