Sunrise on the Reaping

I struggle with fiction alot of times but it was cool to go back some years to an old favorite series. TikTok wasn’t lying about wanting to throw the book after a certain page. #booksky 📚💙

Everything is Tuberculosis - John Green

This read caused a slight hyper fixation on TB for me and I am positive my coworkers are tired of hearing about it. Solid read to change things up a bit.

Also, I’ve never read 18 books in a single year. This is new territory. #BookSky 📚💙

Strong Ground - Brené Brown

This book is one that will take a hot minute to dissect. I needed to start writing out my thoughts on this one yesterday. It’s good shit. So much good shit. #BookSky 📚💙

What You’re Made For - Coach George Raveling

I heard a few podcasts about this coach and his impact in basketball, Nike and life. This book was so damn good. He recently passed and I wish I had been introduced to him sooner. #BookSky📚💙

The Obstacle is the Way

Officially the best Ryan Holiday book I have read to date. Dang! So much in this one. Reading as the kid was going thru tryouts for volleyball hit different! Definitely a consistent re-read.

Big Dumb Eyes - Nate Bargatze

This was a fun “listen while you mow/walk/fly book”. First audiobook in a year or so and it was a nice change of pace. Love his stand up, book is solid! #Booksky 💙📚

I’m going to have to reread this one! It’s good but there’s ALOT there to digest. Solid rec by Ryan Holiday via Daily Stoic

5 types of Wealth - Sahil Bloom

Pretty solid quick read. Tangible actionable things to do in each of the sections of wealth. Some interesting things to add to the journaling routine I keep failing at!

The districts that thrive in this new era will be the ones that embrace clarity of purpose, cultivate authentic engagement, and invest in the tools to communicate with heart and precision.

If you’re in the middle of that conversation, or need to be…

I’d love to chat

Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the privilege of working with districts on exactly that. Helping them find their voice, clarify their identity, and show up with confidence. It’s been some of the most meaningful work of my career—and I believe it’s vital for what comes next.

In that kind of environment, it’s not enough to be a great district. You have to be known as one. That starts with knowing who you are—what you stand for, what makes you different, and how to tell that story in a way that actually connects with your community.

Another Gospel-Joel Looper

Little different read for me but as someone who has been in the church for the majority of my life, these last years have been tough and brought out ALOT of doubts and questions. This doesn’t answer everything but it is a decent starting spot. 📚💙

Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara

Damn. This book is something. 244 pages about building the best restaurant in the world and every bit of it can relate to just about any job any of us have. Damn. This one will stick with me awhile. 📚💙

Enjoy the cameo by Dani the Wonderdog.

The first 75 pages of this book are 🔥. Not saying the rest isn’t great but the first part hit at the perfect time for me. WFH friends… give it a read. 📚💙

This was a good one. From home to work there are actionable thoughts and ideas here to reset things that may not be working great. Probably a book I revisit often for ideas!

Listened to this after seeing it all over TikTok. It was alright. If it had been the first book I read in the genre 5 years ago, maybe it would have hit better.
