I have seen Isak run Saliba/Gabriel and VVD/Konate ragged playing for NUFC. He’s physically miles away from acceptable fitness.

Some fans booed him because they were unhappy with him. It happens everywhere- Vicario last week, Xhaka at Arsenal, Rooney for England, Messi! at PSG.

There isn’t one- Wirtz & Isak replace Salah. His contract was a business decision to protect the club & give Slot options while the other two bedded in. The real problem is behind them where Macallister & Konate form has collapsed. Our lack of alternatives at CB & 6 is shocking.

Disagree, it was clearly a very hard headed business call- if he performed he was worth it, if not sell him to the Saudis and earn a profit now or the summer. Otherwise he would have left for free last summer. The lack of defensive cover signings is a much more questionable decision.

Then why was he played so much earlier in the season? He’s been dropped as his output has collapsed ( albeit in a struggling team). Nobody predicted that.

Ordinarily it would be mad but if we keep being hammered by 3 goals a game, FSG may feel they have no choice. Hughes/ Edwards may also be under threat, depending on who made the recruitment decisions this summer.

Virgil looks burnt out, physically and mentally. Time will tell if he can come back, especially at his age. One of many problems for Liverpool.

The hopeful version is they feel the PL is so weak that top 5 is assured and Slot can fix the team in time for the CL knock outs. But that involves decisions like playing Isak into form/fitness. The other version is that there is a reason Slot wasn’t given a new contract despite winning the PL.

It’s Dutch bluntness not arrogance. He doesnt complain- he just says what other teams are doing and you lot see it as complaining. The real issue is why he cant seem to fix it.

The government isn’t legally obliged to provide your mother with a holiday. In contrast they are obliged to educate children and children attending private schools save the government money.

As a keeper, he’s unsurprisingly going to remember the on target long shots that he faced. The data factors in the majority of off target shots that never come near to troubling a keeper.
