So encouraging to see all the participation around the country. This is what it looked like in St. Louis right at the time I needed to leave, so sadly I did not attend. The flip side, though, is that this is the first significant rain we’ve had in 2 months, so it was sorely needed.

Went to a protest today - in St. Louis. The dog went along because she needed a walk, and also because I think you should train your children while they’re young to stand up for their rights.

This is Sadie Mae, adopted 4-1/2 years ago from Stray Rescue of St. Louis - the world’s most awesome rescue organization.
I can’t really say what I love most about her. Maybe it’s her crooked ear. But more likely it’s because she loves me so much that she rides in the car like this.

When my Sadie was a pup, I got her a stuffed lion from IKEA. She loved it - until she got older and eventually gutted it then dragged its empty “hide” out in the yard on a rainy day and left it in the mud. I don’t think she understood why I threw it away.

I have this ball launcher that I keep next to the sofa to shoot tennis balls for my dog while watching the news. When MTG (or DJT or Couch Guy or Muskrat or Hegsith or, or, or) comes on the screen I have to stifle the urge to shoot the TV.
