But you've re-inspired me to take the plunge on some sort of wearable once I'm through all my holiday stuff. Also I'm cracking up thinking about crochet socks 😂. Can't wait to see your finished sweater! I love the colors and pattern!

Then I moved on to cross stitch and embroidery and now crochet. Mostly I like having something to do that's repetitive but focused. It's so helpful for me to be able to relax to give my hands and mind something to do and to end up with something that someone in my life might like.

My grandma used to make Bucilla felt stockings for all the grandkids before she died so I took those up and my-oh-my was that a learning curve! But definitely helped me be ok with "this isn't perfect" or "the pattern says to do this, but I like this better".

Aww thank you for your thoughtful replies! Crafting has FOR SURE been amazing for working on my perfectionism. I can tell how much I've learned to let go over the years from when I was in college knitting. My tolerance for the frustration of not being good at something has grown significantly!

I love this!! I'm so intimidated by making clothes. I knitted a few scarves years and years ago and have gotten into crochet this year but clothing is daunting! I love that pattern! Please share when finished! 🤩
