Earlier piece where I explored the original myths that have become associate with Easter. Going back to Ostara and the wounded bird who comes to her for safety and is transformed into a bunny to escape her enemies and comes back later to gives her an egg in thanks. I hope y’all have a great Sunday

With all the craziness going on lately, I really needed to get out and grab a moment of peace. One of my current paintings and progress. I can see my current emotions coming through in how this painting is turning out. Was working on location at the Claremont colleges in California

My mom passed away the day we went into lock down for Covid out here in Cal and I just stoped drawing for a bit. This was the first piece I painted after that time. I think it was a period of 4 months. This piece always reminds me of my mom. This was done rather quickly with pen and FW inks

From a year and half ago. Had just finished my LITHA art piece that featured a Hummingbird and was exhausted mentally and just want to draw from life. This one just flowed the whole time.

Took my Raven piece and cut out the main figure then designed a new ornamental design for gold and put it on a candle

Really happy with this Recent art piece I finished. Done on location at the La Verne colleges. This took about 4 sessions working on location to finish.

Reworked a piece I did for SamHain, more of a mood piece than a symbolist picture. Find myself doing more of these right now. Is the Raven Protected by the Eye or an emissary looking out toward us? Is it protected by the the branch’s and the Pomegranate’s or being crowded out. What is your take?

Reworked a piece I did for SamHain, more of a mood piece than a symbolist picture. Find myself doing more of these right now. Is the Raven Protected by the Eye or an emissary looking out toward us? Is it protected by the the branch’s and the Pomegranate’s or being crowded out. What is your take?
For me part of the process is iteration. Each stage adds a new clarity to it. This version I added the moon barely, for the Winter Solstice. But having stars around to lite the way and for life. Mistletoe for protection. In old myths the Goat was eaten at night and would be reborn in the morning.
