That’s a good point, Ford already relies on Chinese manufacturing and rebadging, them walking away from EVs surrenders market control to Chinese automakers and will lock Ford into deeper dependence on partners like Jiangling and Changan for any EV production

This was my first thought too. They’re abandoning their EV program now only to spend more playing catch up to Chinese manufacturers in a few years.
