Looking back, the label "socially liberal, fiscally conservative" feels so quaint lol

This is actually really important! If we don't have simple language to describe the ground on which we actually all agree, how do we fight for it?

Of course, straight lines don't exist in the universe, and same goes for our political spectrum. It bends into a circle, and so there are things that actually unite each "side," like expansive and affordable access to healthcare. So what do we call that?

I felt the shift after the election when previously apolitical (at least in their public comms) wellness figures started rabidly sharing RFK stuff, which was like a gateway puff to outright outrageous fat-phobic content. It was like, oh the old categories can't really define what's happening here.

With a comforter *and* top sheet, it feels like I'm performing horizontal aerial silks all night and I wake up all tangled. Down comforter and natural fiber duvet is the tops!
