In BC, Canada, this has been allowed for years. Mostly they prescribe refills for meds that you are already on, but will also prescribe certain requested meds, such as birth control. It eases the need for drs, clinics, & urgent care centers, allowing them to focus on more complex or urgent cases.

Hey just fyi, we may export a lot of heavy crude but we import a lot of light sweet and we don't have enough refineries in Canada for all the fossil fuels we produce to provide for all Canadians.

I'm all for a concerted switch to renewables but freezing people in the winter is not the way to go.

The climate crisis is also playing a role. When droughts, floods, & rising temperatures play havoc w/ coffee, cocoa, wheat, rice, corn, olives, etc you get shortages - & it's only going to get worse. Richer nations who can pay + for food will hurt less, but food inflation will still cause pain.

I'm $200 for a 1 bedroom apt shared by 5 people on the ground floor above a stairwell that people peed in at night years old.

Oof yeah. It's fine for work but at home it can go the hell away. I fought to remove it from my partner's computer but it keeps sneaking back and stealing all his files and I have to go in and force onedrive to give them back to his computer

Happened to me. I had an auth app on my phone (that I chose over a text or email as my auth method) and then in Sept it stopped sending auth requests but won't let me log in with just my password.

I'm pretty choked and tried all the suggestions for fixing w/no luck. Pls post if you find a solution!

My answer was "Asthma". Just wasn't diagnosed until I was 40 (well before covid arrived.)

It's more like my sibs and I were practically feral children so I knew full well we were way more capable and responsible than the kids described in LoF. I don't think I caught it as a metaphor, I thought he was talking about himself and his peers and what they would act like on a desert island.

Lord of the Flies made me so angry I refused to finish it, despite it being assigned. As oldest child of a large family w/working parents, I knew in my bones that LoF wasn't the result of a shipwreck involving any kids I knew. I thought it was deeply insulting to kids & said more about Englishmen.
