The screw turning phase of Peyton's treatment is done. scans show 13mm of new length/space on her leg which has already started to fill with new bone. Her consultant is delighted. Next step is Gym work starting on Monday to build the strength and muscle in her leg and wean her off her walking frame

After hours of "it doesn't look right there, it's lop sided there, the leets shine on the telly there, does the tinsil look reet at that angle"... the Christmas tree is up and it's glorious. Could have volleyed it all owa the gaff

Slice of pizza, pint of Camden ale, chocolate cornet ans bairns having a sing song to the fella belting out wattamelon sugar high at the sheepfolds. It's pricy, it's freezing but she's enjoying it

11 days of peytons screw turning to go. I pop over to her school on a dinner time to turn them. She's sat with a different friend each day when I get there. The little sod has told her friends i can do a Mr Bean voice.. I've had half her class say "hi Mr Bean" to me as they were going back to class!

Twelve days of the screw turning program to go. Next step from there is in the Gym to get her used to walking unaided ....... a return to the stadium of light on a match day is in the distance, getting closer all the time.
