Each time I watch someone play the end of Outer Wilds, I cry a little less hard. Which makes sense. You get used to it. But that itself is kind of melancholy in a way. It's also kind of a shame, considering that's one of the only sure-fire ways to make myself cry.

Is there a term for experiencing burnout while crashing out? That was me last night 🥴
On the bright side, I was able to admit to myself that I was biting off more than I can chew due to assigning myself side-projects with deadlines. I shelved one, which is already helping.

Been on a coding binge for the last couple days. It's weird when I enter this state, because I basically forget how to spend my free time outside of being idle. "Not working" becomes a foreign concept. It's how I was for most of spring last year. At least it means I'm finally being productive lol

Last week, I finished my first #gamejam! Made a cafe sim game for the Nokia jam with @dealtadelta.bsky.social.

Buuut we ran out of time, and the game isn't actually complete-able. Regardless, the other participants left very sweet, encouraging comments. 🥺

I love it when I finally solve a problematic bug in my code juuust as the mix I have playing reaches a musical climax. Sometimes you can't help but try and time it too, when you have a feeling it's coming, haha.

My week of non-work to recover from burnout has concluded. Now I get to wake up in eight hours and try learning how to remake my #Godot game into #UE5.
