I am not a grilled cheese sandwich. I need that reminder today. Maybe you do, too. How others PERCEIVE you is not a reflection of who you ARE. You are not defined by others perspectives of you.

From what I can tell, that is the point of this endeavor - to expose problems of the credit industry and the challenges it brings to those who struggle financially.

I’m not calling you a bad word or person by calling you to action. I believe life is about constant growth and improvement. But do the work because it is needed.

Deeming us a burden is dehumanizing.

I invite anyone who thinks of the disabled as a burden in your own life or society to review the definition of ableism and critically explore your own thinking.

For what it’s worth, I grew up with internalized ableism. It is a rampant way of thinking in our society.

it is there. But online discussion in multiple spaces I’ve come across has revealed a great many Americans who think of the disabled as burdens. So I say this to you.

My existence is not something to grieve over. I, a disabled person, am not a burden.

3: Also under those 3 lines, go to feeds. You can subscribe to different feeds people have created. Then, instead of having to scroll through ALL the “following” or “discover” feeds, you can scroll through your actual interests. It’s also a great way to find and follow similar peeps.

2: Utilize settings/moderation. You can use mute words where you will never see posts using those words, or you can mute or block accounts quite easily.
