I work in a psychology research lab at a public university and we’ve lost access to our public health databases and grants that were previously approved have now been dropped because of inappropriate DEI language like “women” and “disability.”

We need to drill down and simplify the message. Cutting social security means… your disability check goes down or stops. How many people in your state are on SS, WICK etc. remember 8th grade education level and personal emotional reactions. We can do it

This systematic review of 70 studies identifies close relationships between competencies in sign languages and spoken/written languages. It is thus crucial for educational policy for deaf children to have sign/spoken bilingualism as its goal.

I feel like in a new update with Bluesky, they should have the option for subtitles for our deaf and hard of hearing friends and family out there. I care so much about this side of things because my grandpa who passed away months ago was deaf and hard of hearing, also blind
