Entirely understandable and respectable tbh. Back to the Future 1 *probably* edges it out for me, but even then, it's like...razor-thin margins of difference.

Post UFP founding, the MACOs were kept around as a United Earth thing, but never integrated into Starfleet proper to try and appear anti-militarist...but, you know, suspiciously, any actually skilled security personnel somehow had MACO qualifications. Odd, that.
