As a Catholic, I am disturbed that the letter starts with how this bill will affect immigrants’ contribution to the economy, next, the mass attendance…and last, the effects on the vulnerable and poor. The foremost focus should be on the dignity of all human life regardless of economic contribution.

I like this, but it doesn’t deal with the fact that schools are generally not safe for children these days because of gun violence, bullying, racism, etc. I would want my child to have a phone for those instances. I was a junior in high school when Columbine happened and things are much worse today.

This is not only a political issue, but a spiritual issue. “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy.” “By their fruit you shall know them.”
