After a brief flirtation with tiling window managers I’m back to my old UI setup which is pretty much out-of-the-box for both Pop!_OS and macOS. I turn off the automatic edge tiling since I work on wide displays and it’s just wrong there.

Biked 17 miles today. Not bad. I’m on a mission to drop about 60 lbs this year. I want to get back under 200. Bad habits must be broken.

I took another prairie walk yesterday. Sunflowers and Black-eyed Susans are in full bloom providing lots of seed for this chickadee and its friends.

Packing for a photo workshop tomorrow at the MN Arboretum on pollinators. They say to bring a >200mm telephoto (ok) and a 20mm+ wide angle (huh?). Throwing the macro in the kit for good measure. Hoping to pick up a few tips.

The new reMarkable Paper Pro Move was an instant purchase. The size is perfect for toting around. Now if Apple could replicate that screen feel in an iPad mini I’d be very tempted, but I don’t see that happening.

Pulled my big full frame camera out of hibernation today. Heavy body & heavy lens but it takes nice shots. Maybe I’ll build some muscles this weekend.

Just preordered the new Ricoh GRIV and putting off my expected upgrade to the next iPhone. Keeping the 14 Pro Max. May even downsize at some point to a smaller model.

A nice G and T to start an evening of cozy mysteries with my favorite person. Using Hendricks and Fever Tree Elderflower. It seems to be a good combination. Mysteries could be Misomer Murders, Death in Paradise, or Foyle’s War.
