Oh no you’re right, I saw it on a legislative update summary and it must have not been updated. Trying to find out if any similar bills have been introduced for the 136th GA

It’s extremely important to contact your representatives on these things. In Ohio, our government is controlled by a majority republicans. We need to let our representatives know that they are supported by their voters so they will keep trying to get things like this done.

“But same sex marriage is legal why does this matter?”
Same sex marriage is legal, for now, bc of one SCOTUS case, Obergefell v. Hodges. As we saw with Roe v. Wade, SCOTUS can overturn this case. If that happens, this provision of Ohio law would prohibit same sex marriage. That’s why it matters.

What can you do about this? Email or call your Ohio rep & senator, tell them that you support same sex marriage & you want them to support H.B. 332.

- revoked two Biden EOs related to reproductive healthcare issued after Roe was overturned. Those EOs directed HHS to ensure access to FDA approved abortion medication & directed HHS to better protect reproductive health information (aka use HIPAA to protect info from being used for prosecution)

- cancelled flights for afghan refugees, including ones for family members of U.S. servicemembers & those who helped the U.S. military.
- withdrew the U.S. from the World Health Organization
- withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement

-rescinded Biden’s EOs related to climate change, protecting the LGBT, and advancing minorities.
- got rid of reproductive rights .gov.
- pardoned Jan 6th rioters, including ones who beat police officers.
