Polite Canadian retiree in PTBO ON. Concerned about our country's politics and humanity in general. I like bollards, language, science, ecology, history, and humour - amongst other things. I'm like the elephant's child; I have 'satiable curtiosity.
Sort of like kids and cats - a box is the best thing ever

Canadian here. I'd love that at the front door: mitten dryer and slipper warmer. Imagine coming home to a toasty sweater or blanket . . .

Yes sir, I'd like one please.

I never had to look for a tennis ball, we had two border collies. I fell asleep on my chair one afternoon, and woke up with seven tennis balls on my lap. Just in case . . .

I was just thinking about a time I finished a book before going to sleep. The next day I thought "where am I going to today?" and smiled. I finished a book about the raj in India and decided to read a mystery from Japan. The world is so fascinating.

I just finished a book on people not reading and thought it might explain why there's so much intolerance and hatred.

Then I read the article - I can't describe how horrified I feel.

That speech gives me the warm fuzzies. I signed the petition and if nothing happens, I'll nag my MP and sign as many new petitions as necessary.

We don't hear about Madison Cawthorn any more, do we?

I think he collects "dirt" on everyone and threatens to use it . . . but that's just me.

My heart breaks after reading about the bomb that hit near a kindergarten. When I was very young, I knew a woman who stuttered; my mother said that she did that after a bomb exploded near her during WWII. It was over 60 years ago and I still remember that her name was Tuula and how I felt.

I had to look up GSD. We have a basset so I thought "good sniffing day". Apologies to all GSDs.

All it takes is listening to Skippy once with Carney's answers, and some civic responsibility to learn about Canada's leaders. I remember studying the newspaper and listening to news reports before voting for Pierre Trudeau. Although I was a teenager, I felt proud to vote.
