New upcycle project. Component rack. Shelves are “Butcherblock” milled from salvaged GluLam beams. Uprights are old growth cedar from logs pulled out of Lake Union. Used to float boathouses.

Work in process…What was going to be a large deep bowl decided it wanted to be a large shallow bowl after exiting the lathe and traveling across the shop at a high rate of speed. Always try to listen to the wood.

Took my daughter to see the White Stripes in 2007. Her first concert (non boy band division) Last night she returned the favor. Great show. These old ears are still ringing.

Work in progress tall Maple bowl/vase. 10” tall, 6-8” dia. Beautiful wood from a friend who’s father-in-law was a long time turner. So far so good.

New repurpose project. Metal shelve store display headed to the scrap pile. Used it as a frame to build a new audio cab.

Found 2 of these maple work benches at the garage sale of a retired shop teacher. Scraped off a lot of glue, restored the vise, turned a new handle and added a bottom shelf of salvaged fir flooring. Keeping one and customer bought the other for a kitchen island

Stools saved from a local high school. Battleship gray with pine tops. Did a hammered bronze finish and turned new mahogany seats from salvaged church pews

A couple of knife block projects from reclaimed lumber. One from oak kitchen cabinets and the other from mahogany church pews. Both with a hairpin leg and more bamboo skewers than I could count

Daughters getting into vinyl. Needed a stand and storage. A couple crappy old carts, some salvaged old growth cedar and toredo fir and she’s all set. We milled the cedar from logs pulled out of Lake Union. Old boathouse floats. Beautiful wood.
