28 years later is obviously a movie made by people who love movies with a high level of craft. What happens when the scrappy team who made the first movie with consumer grade cameras and no filming permits have the resources to do it again? They make something that's an absolute visual treat.

The high I got every time I whispered "he's from Oakland" to my husband every time someone from Oakland appeared in the movie!!

Sinners is great. Drenched in style, atmosphere, and has instantly interesting characters which is amazing because the cast is huge. Arkansas catches a few strays for no reason, which is funny to me, someone who has never gone to Arkansas and had a good time.

Saw Dogma at my local amc and I didn't know it was possible to watch this movie without a chyron announcing crank yankers at 9:30 eastern 6:30 pacific.

Matt and Ben are giving real Actor level performances while the rest of the cast acts like muppets. I love this movie.

Flow, a movie made with Blender with no dialogue won an academy award. A simple story that is very absorbing. If people need low stimulation movies for kids this seems perfect.

I do not watch trailers and I was unprepared for the creative choice Robert Pattison made for his character in Mickey 17.

If you like Neon, A24, etc you will enjoy Companion. You will like it even more if you research nothing about the film.

Heretic is like watching a dramatic reenactment of the most tedious r/atheist thread brought to life, and I am a tedious person so I mostly liked it. "Man is the real monster" is normally one of my favorite tropes but I wish they executed it better.

I was ready to like Y2K and I had a good time. I keep saying it's a worse "Small Soldiers", and if I attempt a deeper, serious review I will end up hating myself.

I tell people Anora is like watching an extra long episode of the Sopranos (complimentary) and this has convinced zero people to watch it.
