I think there’s no question vinyl sounds better, but when people start kind of fetishizing sound quality I think of how many millions of hours of listening pleasure have come from cheap radios and record players, and how people used to watch movies projected on bed sheets.

I’m so glad to hear that. Her Lou Reed hall of fame speech popped up recently. They are both so formidable for me, but… Patti Smith has a problem with her N word song and Reed (less serious maybe) with “the colored girls go”… but worse was the way he treated Rachel Humphreys. Still and all…
