I am beyond shame of what the diaper said today. My Dad had 2 roommates at West Point who died in Viet Nam. They were not "woke." My Dad was the commander of Combat Engineers in Xuan Loc one of the dirtiest and most violent battles in Viet Nam. a lot of it was attempted to be cleaned up.

The Bills thought they were going to walk all over the Patriots. They did not. What a great win by New England in Buffalo. It was not always pretty but they got the job done against a Divisional opponent.

In my first assignment in the Missouri newspaper I was assigned the women's volleyball team. I figured whatever. Then i interviewed the players often looking up because they were so tall and I realized wow these young women are super good athletes. OK that is it.

Pete keg-breach is an embarrassment to all of my friends and family who served honorably in the military. I grew up in a military family. Many of you served, including my friends who were combat veterans. They despise him. What a disgrace. What a travesty of being a commander.

One of my lacrosse buds west point went to ranger school. There were 2 girls who applied. One failed. The other woman was hard core. She passed all the strength courses and the legendary 1-week swamp walk. All the weeks. He said afterward "If she could do that I would want her on my side."

Our healthcare manager told us starting jan 1 our costs could go up 2.5 times, an increase of $12,000 annually due to the Big Bill elimination of subsidies. This is a big reason for guv shutdown: dems want subsidies reinstated. If not this will impact our entertainment, travel, cable spend etc.

I saw my first D2 football game today. Very exciting! Saint Anselm had a big lead but Pace stormed back to go ahead. Then the St A Hawks went down the field to go up with 4 seconds left. But in the ensuing kickoff Pace used trickery and it almost worked with no time left!

Sometimes when I get upset about our country I remember my Mom and Dad: good parents. Dad was in Viet Nam: Captain in charge of a combat engineer battalion. Stateside Mom was great. She shielded us: she'd turn off the evening news and instead read to us.

I support the women who had the press conference. As someone who literally had to fight against sex abuse with my fist when I was in private high school. As someone who coached a kid who was abused. I know that it sometimes takes years for people to say what happened. You must listen to them.

I really don't know anyone who would want to be attacked by a swarm of yellow jackets. Guess who disturbed a yellow jacket nest today? I will say I have admiration for how they swarmed. Impressive.
