It is important, I think, to distinguish motivation-as-process from motives-as-things. Because all meaning is context dependent (Bateson, 1974), no theory will ever be able to account for contextual variations.

So true, and yet it remains such a difficult personality trait to develop through teacher training programmes. Tim Murphey’s pedagogic research in the context of second language acquisition has been very informative for me.

It is more troubling. I’ll force myself to go back into Project 2025 and see if they justify mass disease in there. It might be an eschatological thing.

It is madness. Do you have any references to rationales given for the motives of the CDC, and Kennedy in particular? I normally accept the “follow the money” motive, but can’t see a financial advantage to eschewing vaccine wealth creation.

I wonder if my friend Tim’s 2004 paper will be of interest? I was a colleague of his as he railed against the rigidity of Nanzan’s assessment regime.

Where will it be published please? I wonder if Abe Maslow’s 1943 work still influences social research?

What a delight to read that undergraduates are the driving force, and that the University encourages their curiosity. If you ever post audio of the woodpeckers (real and recorded) I’d enjoy listening in. Thank you for your post.

The ignorance she displays is all-too-common, and dangerous.

Splendid news.

I agree, and wish the elected representatives and mainstream press proved your point.

What a day’s cricket! The Aussies are fuming.

Very good. Volkswagen ran an series of experiments of that sort back in the early naughties called the Fun Theory. Much to learn there in order to overturn our overuse of large sticks to frighten people into obedience.

Are there really more shameless people these days, or are we just able to see them more clearly?

At least the bespectacled b’tard of Barnard Castle has been fired. Again.

I understand that COVID deaths are higher among non-white, poor communities, impacted greatly by less access to medical care, and overcrowded living conditions. The devastation of those populations seems a goal of the Alt-Reich and the absurd Replacement Theory spouted by Steven Miller and his ilk.

I wonder who would fund such a good idea? I’m not sure that Big Pharma would be interested unless it is EU based.

They have become so brazen, so emboldened that they can do such things without fear of consequence. However, their hubris will be their downfall once the majority of Americans realise they have been conned, lied to, and abused. I fear how much destruction of the constitution will be wrought by then.
