My least favorite genre of crossword complaint is when a [you can guess their demographic] solver finds a clue that was not in their wheelhouse and decides it's therefore a poor clue. Different clues are written to bring different people joy, my guy!

Thanks to @giltcomplex.bsky.social for screenshotting this for me, an iPhone less person. Jess and I made the first attempt of this puzzle's theme four years ago and it didn't quite work, so very happy that this new completely different version found its way out into the world.
