They say most of the homeless are drug addicts But my circle while on 21st and E st. weren't, actually. We were mostly happy drunks lol😁. The drugheads came and left as fast as they got there. It was funny to know so many straightedge, homeless people. Especially being so close to a meth clinic.

This was a tent I setup for a little old lady named Ms. Eugenia. I put her tent next to me so I could keep an eye on her. She would walk around late nights freezing like most of us. After receiving housing, she's now volunteers at the Kennedy center as an usher. Beautiful spirit she was.

Call homeless people lazy drug addicts? Maybe some are. On the other hand I've been working from age 15. As a child I'd ride my bicycle from Upper Marlboro MD, all the way into Washington DC to work for $5 an hour, building bikes at one of the oldest bike shops in DC, Metropolis Bikes/Conte's.
