I subscribed to the Texas Observer and directly mentioned your article being the reason why. Thanks to you and all you mentioned for bringing this to light and exposing this dangerous clown

Now do the graph on University tuition. Is that NIMBY too?
Baby boomers benefited from low university tuition, lower education requirements for entry jobs, cheaper housing, higher minimum wage… then they pulled the ladder up behind them.

They are not, the dems know but have to end the shutdown bc Rs will gladly just keep burning the country down. Now they set this up to add to the exposure of Rs as the burn the country down party of liars and move to next battle. It would be good if left could -after 10 years- learn to be strategic

Isn't that city or state property? Local government could be banning these agents from local and state property. The lack of state-local sovereign power flex is a bigger problem than the federal dems we gave very little power to in last election.

🙏 I'm sorry for your loss. Everyone should be doing what they are able. point was collectively we can do more and sacrifice more for the greater good instead of lambasting our own reps at every turn when we didn't give them enough power to do most of what we are demanding.

I'm almost there but we are way over on the spectrum is their problem. I was talking in the context of shutdown - agree there is absolutely more in other ways. Thanks for the additions and respectful dialogue

Not powerless. The obama era GOP didn't have a big tent and didn't have "burning the country to the ground" politics on the other side. the dems would have to start breaking laws to counter this admin. The statea need to flex more of their power & individuals need to face what they own here

Well that's about 10 of us. The outrage coalition has arrived, which is why I've stopped discussing anything in social media. Probably healthiest for all of us. definitely the only way we get out (to get back to in person, community based solutions and compromise). Have a good one

It does not. This is everything wrong with social media and why I've mostly walked away. Failure of personal accountability is ALSO a thing. You believe whatever you like, it is still a free country.

Not saying they are at all. Just saying we can't tear down dems for not burning the country down in response to trump doing it. We are the ones that own the mass pressure needed to counter that level of insanity, dems don't have that level of responsive power. We have to do more if we want more.
