NC State led the NCAA Cross Country Championships by 48 points with 1K to go. Their last kilometer was a bit rough, but they hung on to win 114 to 130 over BYU.
This is the 6th year in a row that BYU or NC State won the title. Oregon was 3rd (153 pts), and the top 3 teams have female head coaches.

I was just looking through photos of a men's elite race I shot in 2003 it's a who's who of today's coaches, shoe company employees, race directors, etc. There's some of that on the women's side, but nowhere near as much. It's depressing. I hope things are different for the next generation.

Less than 48 hours out from the start of Athlos, there are still 487 tickets available. Icahn Stadium's capacity is 5,000. They are clearly putting a ton into this venture, it's depressing how hard it us to get fans to show up for the majority of the track meets in the U.S.
