Phantom Geat update 56?! its been 5 effing years! I sincerely don't care anymore, as I was never lucky with any Kickstarter project I backed to this day.

Performance test for Hoop Hop for the Game Boy.

This is already old but want to start sharing the results as I dont expect it to have 3 balls in play for most of the time.

Need to improve color palette since gb cant handle 4 colors per sprite so I'm borrowing a bg color for now. Need a cooler idle too.

studying ZGB while tweaking my main character. When I feel I need motivation I look at the art Im making for the game. yes I like it a lot. Yes they have too many colors. It's because I wanted to cheat the extra color borrowing it from the background.

Black Belt for the Master System is too good. It was the first game I played for the system back in the day and I still love it. Been experimenting with my crt monitor f(for decent results).

Finally got an old CRT for retro gaming. I'll use it as a 3rd monitor for videos, until I move it to a mame machine. Sorry for the bad pic.

When I played Duck Tales back in the day I didn't speak english, so to me "skeleton key" meant a key made of bones.

Beating Double Dragon III for the #nes always felt impossible, but after some dedication I finally did it.

Beating 'neshard' games without any cheats is so satisying.

I should have streamed the experience.

Super C for the #NES is such a good game. It didn't age a day. Having a good time relaxing and playing NES games lately.

After many years I finally decided to dedicate and beat one of my favorite games of all time: Double Dragon 2 for the #NES. Struggled a lot with platforming sessions and this is why I got stuck on Stage 6 for so long. Didn't use save states.

Bought an Udemy course to iron out my Unity shortcomings😂 No free youtube course really convinced me.

I'll still work on PolyGo because I need to sort out graphic assets. I I know I want minimalistic vectors.

I'm so so rusty. Wish me luck

Spent the afternoon streaming Master System games and stumbled upon Bram Stocker's Dracula.

Game looks promising.

idk I look at the screen and think theres just too much white stuff so they compete with other. I'll experiment with colored items and 1px outlines.
April 27, 2025 at 2:58 AM
Reworking the game icons in an effort to make gameplay as intuitive as possible. Not sold on those thick outlines as they dont look as clean as before.

Implemented the key/lock mechanic also, organized code even better.

Very proud of being productive over a difficult day.

I may not had the time to work on my game today, but at least I've let the project open the whole time just in case.

now my game has a timer! Wanna just reach the end? you can. Wanna collect all treasures? Ok. Wanna go against the clock? You have accellerator and brake.

Spent the day on the backend, organizing the code to make it more stable, modular and reliable.

But my greatest challenge and making a HUD players can understand gameplay. The left bar is the fuel which gets refilled once you get the right item. Pentagons are like collectibles.

adding acceleration and break features, allowing another dynamic to my game: time. Not sure if I map keyboard buttons for these or interface buttons or both. Being able control your speed helps the game suit different tastes also.

Tomorrow I'll have more time <3
