As a massive corporation or industry, it's pretty difficult to justify your existence beyond the sheer volume of content (or technical effort) of your output.

When seen from that angle, this obsession with AI suddenly makes a lot more sense.

After all, numbers must keep going up.📈

It's the same faulty logic that assumes "we spent over X billion on this technically impressive work" equates to "it's actually any good".

2: Sensitivity to high frequencies is one of my major migraine symptoms. This can be anything from high-pitched/white noise, blue LEDs, PWM LED lighting to high-frequency visual noise.

In the most recent example it was the hyper-detail, that many image models gravitate towards, of the mecha parts.

1: Failures of global cohesion are incredibly distracting for my easily distracted ADHD brain. From the obvious "six fingers" kind of artefacts to "seeing faces in clouds" overfitting.

In the most recent example it was seeing several almost cockpit-like regions on a mecha combat suit.

'Unmasking Autism: Discovering the New Faces of Neurodiversity' by Devon Price, PhD.
If you ever grew up thinking you were weird, that you must be broken or some sort of alien; I highly recommend 'Unmasking Autism: Discovering the New Faces of Neurodiversity' by Devon Price.

I've recommended it to several others now, so thanks to @maximjdev.bsky.social for recommending it to me!

The wider the distribution and audience, the harder it is to correct. Things can quickly become a self-referential "fact" that can be really hard to disprove.

You have to get everyone together in a room and convince them it's a self-perpetuating echo.

I've mainly seen it in the media, but certainly caught it a couple of times before something went wrong.

Executive presentations and other high visibility material (say something on Confluence) are particularly risky because there's often so much context and nuance that needs to be considered.
