Update: 5+ hours in, down to 19% of ALX (13k) + another 30k out in FFX. No estimate for repair or word of cause from @dominionenergy.bsky.social But found camp light and charged all devices at a friend's. Pups is dealing well with his first outage.

In the summer of 1993, I spent 6 weeks in Venezuela during its short-lived democracy. Besides Caracas, we climbed over the Andes and visited the beach town of Choroni. Hoping we don't follow in its footsteps.
