In their rush to avoid federal regulation by kowtowing to Trump’s “agenda”, the social media companies are begging for it once Congress and the presidency change parties. It’s almost as if they can’t help themselves.

You’re not wrong. Many people out there find it easier to organize and fight the culture wars than to really work on fixing problems and training their sights on class. The folks pulling the strings use race and culture to distract people from how bad they’ve got it due to class. It isn’t ‘trendy’.
