I understand the thinking but my premise is that shutting down the government isnt helping. Republicans dont care if kids arent eating, so they arent going to cave, infact, they were violating judgments to fund SNAP.

One big thing that bothers me is everyone saying "look at all the momentum the dems had, and they caved for nothing" the point of shutting it down was to gain momentum, nothing else positive comes from a shutdown... and the dems got it.

A) moderate Rs dont exist anymore, its already been the longest shutdown in history
B) getting rid of the filibuster isnt good (opinion ofcourse)
C) is just hurt people so u can win internet arguments.
