Gay Comics/Film Geek. I post about Showgirls, Reality TV, Power Rangers, X-Men, and D&D too much. (He/Him)
Film #434: Mary Poppins

I know I had seen it before but it had been so long that I'd blanked on most of the broad strokes of the film. It's pretty magnificent honestly. Just the way some of the effects work along with Julie Andrews being trully magical. #2025Films

Film #433: The Naked Gun

Amusing requel to the original series. I was skeptical but it hits just the right notes. Pam Anderson is so back. #2025Films

Film #432: Jack Frost

I've seen a lot of bad Holiday Horror Films. I am genuinely unsure if this is worse than the one with the killer elves and Grizzley Adams. I think it's worse since it's supposed to be a comedy which makes a scene about half way worse even more vile. #2025Films

Film #431: Wicked: For Good

While not as strong as Part 1, it has some good emotional gut punch moments. Just as beautiful to see. #2025Films

Hello from Row J, waiting for Wicked to start.

Part of my issue is it feels like the writers wanted to do a show about a house full of monsters and felt forced to do anything with the Toku footage.

Surprisingly, a lot of original footage in this one. For how cheap Saban could be, they didn't reuse the same four shots constantly.

Film #430: Hot Frosty

It's so dumb but still fun so... I guess it's alright. #2025Films

TFW your boyfriend bring home his boyfriend but you just wanted to read. Then he tells you how big he is.

I half believe that Nic Cage based his Dracula in Renfield off of Carlos Villarías rather than Lugosi.

Film #429: Midnight Madness

A slightly more mature film than what I would expect from Disney but also 80s as fuck. It's more notable for the number of pre-breakout stars it has. It's fun but you'll probably forget about it within an hour of watching it. #2025Films

Film #428: Titanic

Technically, it's an astounding film, the sheet scope of it all with some well-made action shots. Acting, it's mostly there though Billy Zane needed a mustache to twirl. As for the script... it's not the worst thing I've heard but dear god some of the dialogue... #2025Films

I'm gonna say what everyone's thinking: Add Rose From Titanic with her Axe to Fortnite.

Film #427: Our Miss Brooks

Eve Arden is very charming in the lead. It feels a but much like an extra long episode of a sitcom but, overall, still entertaining enough. #2025Films

Film #426: Descendants

As far as your Official Disney Fanfiction goes, it's not bad. It has moments where the camp starts to get a little corny but never completely over the edge. #2025Films

Film #425: Captain America

So much of it is deathly boring padding with the occasional moment of weirdness that grabs your attention until you get a five minute helicopter ride. REB BROWN!!! #2025Films
November 16, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Film #424: Doctor Who: The Movie

It's far from the worst story in the history of the series but definitely wasn't going to be what revived it for a new generation. McGann is a great Doctor though and Eric Roberts is having the time of his life. #2025Films
November 16, 2025 at 2:28 AM
Film #423: Bionic Showdown

It's schlock. Your level of enjoyment is going to come down to if you know the two series it spun off of and if the camp is too much or not enough. Sandra Bullock is good in it. #2025Filns

Film #422: The Wrong Mommy

David Decoteau woke up one day and asked, "What if I made a film with absolutely no subtlety that would make the cast of Dynasty say that was over the top?" Over the top hilarity! #2025Films
November 15, 2025 at 10:50 PM
Film #421: Dear Evan Hansen

My #FilmChallenge2025 pick for November (A 2020s Musical). What's most frustrating about the film is that there are great actors in the middle of a Nepo Baby Vanity film dragging them into his close-up black hole of nothing and it's a bunch of nothing. #2025Films
November 15, 2025 at 4:47 AM
Film #420: Mad Money

Above average Crime Comedy. It's far from perfect but a fun use of your time with the exception of like a few sequences that could have been cut and you'd miss nothing. You are mostly there for Keaton, Latifah, and Holmes. #2025Films

It was Leopold for a while during New Horizons until he moved. Groucho helped me love again.
November 14, 2025 at 6:52 PM
Film #419: High Fidelity

I overall enjoyed it. There are few points where the breaking of the fourth wall didn't 100% work for me but still fun enough. I think I was just the right level of annoyed with half the cast. #2025Films
November 13, 2025 at 3:44 AM
Film #418: Winnie-The-Pooh

Owl is the real villain. Okay, honest opinion: it's really charming and beautifully animated. Wish it was a smidgen longer. #2025Films
November 12, 2025 at 3:23 AM
Film #417: Garden State

There is a nugget of sincerity to the film, especially in the last 30 minutes. The problem is that so much of it is buried under this Late Gen-X/Early Millennial post-irony quirky film making that you may never see it and that's kind of a shame, #2025Films

I literally just looked up if Jim Parsons got his role in The Big Bang Theory based his scene in Garden State.

Doesn't appear so which is kind of astounding.
