I get it. People want to be optimistic. I love optimism. It’s a good thing. It brings hope. That’s not a plan. You have to prepare for the worst case scenario with this group. It’s the only cautious approach. And, given they’ve already attempted it, it’s not far fetched to think they’ll try again.

I’m with you, but we need to convince people like @theophite.bsky.social who think it can’t happen because “it would be illegal” and according to them impossible. The last attempt failing has biased a lot of people to think that nothing bad will ever happen. Anyone who says different is a “doomer.”

For sure. I’m in complete agreement. I’m just saying the consequences have to match the psychopathy. And last I checked, the criminal justice system and carceral state were plenty brutal. Making people aware of the range of possibilities is just descriptive.

If you’re an elected or a former elected and you’re not being very vocal in this moment, if you can’t name the person who is creating this havoc, and if you’re not out on the streets protesting with your people, then you’re not a real leader and you never were.

At this point the message is clear, you’re only safe as a nation if you have nuclear weapons. The current president made that point clear and everyone else took notice. This post is absolutely worthless and it’s just simply virtue signaling for a world that no longer exists. This isn’t leadership.

I made this point before to people on here who were trying to keep others from signing up for protest events because they said the government may use those organizing efforts to persecute them.
