Why would they wait? Once Iran has nuclear weapons it will be too late for Israel. They've always said their intention is to destroy Israel.

Macron's address was very much geared towards an EU audience. Starmer needs to prepare the groundwork for getting Britain back in so that this works in a more coordinated fashion and sends a firm message to Putin, Trump and our friends in Europe.

Perhaps you and I and lots of others here have had our fingers burnt on the hob of anti-semitism rife in X and are just a bit more cautious here. It's taking time to get to the point that X was like in terms of engagement, but we need you and others who are brave and informed and prepared to speak.

Absolutely, but tree planting does inspire and educate those who aren't as knowledgeable. I used to dismiss tree planning as virtue signalling, but it has its place (a small one!).
