I'm currently doing analysis on the CGT legislation for my thesis. I think, fundamentally, it was the cult of aspiration. Rewarding privilege, demonising those not white middle class, turbocharging the Menzien "little capitalist" dream. Those decisions are the cancer that is eating us now.
