There's no offside rule in AFL. The knock-ons you refer to are nowhere near as common as handballs. Handballs are the legal way of passing without kicking. Ball held in one hand and hit with a clenched fist to a team mate. Plus, no pads, helmets or girly leggings. These guys are tough and brave.

Most of them play in U18s competitions,which makes it a bit easier to assess them. Most pundits who do phantom drafts end up with similar rankings. There's lots of vision to watch.
