A quirky guy.
I'm into board games, books, raccoons, and cats that look like raccoons.

The music was a choice. It's a bit mocking toward a serious situation.

Mark, I hate to tell you, but your comedy bit needs some work.

Yes, that's true. These people are not nearly in the risk range. But their premiums going up means that everyone around them goes up, too.

Understanding that the companies must make a profit, it just pains me to see how much they contribute to the crisis. Depending on the family, a rate increase of 40% could mean the difference between being able to get groceries or pay the mortgage, which could lead to homelessness.

Maybe I've seen too much of the bad side of working on the inside. I can't in good conscience think the insurance companies are looking out for anyone. They want to write policies and act shocked when they have to pay a claim, 100% of the time.

I don't really care what they paid before and what they have now. Insurance companies are ripping everyone off. I've had to switch providers every year for years now because they all want to come up with new and creative ways to raise my rates by 30% cause of flood risks that don't impact me.

The way insurance companies calculate risk is ridiculous and unfair to policyholders. It is designed solely to maximize profits. I worked for an insurance company long enough to see how inequitable it all was. Rates should go up after a major incident, yes..but 40%? People still need to live.

It's so important to keep in mind the distinction between luxury items and essential items as we move to tariff U.S. imports. Simply, books cannot be considered a luxury.

Some people would rather overthrow democracy than get therapy.

It's refreshing to see them called out for saying some absurd shit, honestly. Sorry you have to deal with the outcome, but it's good to see you put your foot down and do your content your way.

Ted Lasso had a very satisfying run and is perfect with just the three seasons we received. However, in reality, people's stories don't wrap up with a neat little bow. If any show can tell a story where life goes on and where you end up isn't set in stone, it's a show like Ted Lasso.

I didn't even know about HFX Alerts until you posted this. They need a better system to ensure everyone in the municipality receives important alerts
