so no, films like Madam Web and Quantumania didn't make profits on their cinema run.
seeing people talk movie box office without learning the basics winds me up. A film taking in more than it's budget doesnt mean its in profit. Cinemas take a cut of box office (roughly half) and after other costs such as marketing and points, 2.5X the budget is considered the break even point.
