#Astrophotography & #Astronomy and #MclarenF1 #F1 are my passion. I’m also a bit of a #scifi and #StarTrek geek and a sucker for #SirTerryPratchett #Discworld books.
#BIM designer Building Envelope Contractor. #Revit user since 2003.
Completely unprocessed #Astrophotography straight out of the #SeestarS30, M13 the great globular cluster in the constellation of Hercules. I have a tandem project running on my main rig with the RedCat71 and my mono Atikone camera.

Hello darkness my old friend! Astronomical darkness returns tomorrow. It’s a shame it’s brought the clouds along for the ride. #Astrophotography #DarknessReturns #Astronomy

I think Ma Thames would appreciate a bit of Stout more than larger. Why not treat her to the good stuff

Here are a couple of #Astrophotography shots to brighten your feed.

The moon from earlier in the month taken with the #SeeStar S30. I’m loving this little scope, I can’t wait to take it somewhere dark.

This time last year we didn’t know that we were about to be hit with a massive #Solar storm producing one of the best #aurora ever seen over the UK. #Astrophotography #SpaceWeather #Space #Astronomy

Now this looks interesting, especially at the price! #SV241 from #SVBony. I’m looking forward to the reviews @dylanodonnell.bsky.social @astrobackyard.bsky.social it could be a really competitor to the Pegasus power box

Goodnight

Well it’s official no more #Astrophotography until late August. The moon is now getting too bright and less than 2 hours of #AstronomicalDarkness which disappears altogether by the 15th. #SummerSucks Hopefully the Sun will put of a good display #SolarAstro

This one was a real struggle #M101 the #PinWheel galaxy. It is only 30 minutes of luminance and 15 minutes of Red Green & Blue using my C8sct at G6.3. There was a 70% moon and I was unable to take flats. All making the processing a nightmare #AstroFail #Astrophotography #GalaxySeason

Further processing of this mornings capture of the large sunspot currently visible on the surface of the Sun. Captured with the #SeeStar S30 with a white light solar filter. #Solar #Astrophotography

I managed to catch the large sunspot currently visible on the sun’s surface. It was a fleeting glimps between the clouds. Captured with the #Seestar S30 #Solar #Astrophotography

Trying to capture the huge sunspot between the clouds. Why can’t the weather cooperate 🤷‍♂️

The more I play with the #SeeStarS30 data the more impressed I am. This #M81 & #M82 image is 2 1/2 hours in 20 second exposures in EQ mode. Stacked by the SeeStar. Processed with #PixInsight #Astrophotography

Finally got around to properly processing my #LeoTriplet data taken over a few nights at the start of April. When I culled the data I ended up with 91x5min subs #Astrophotography #GalaxySeason #Astronomy

Lovely shot Mike, I hope you don’t mind, I have run your image through Topaz SharpenAI. I think it makes the owl a little clearer but it’s quite a low-res image. It would probably work great on the raw file.

Busy day in the Observatory!
Replaced the treads on the steps.
Swapped the filters in the Atikone for #LRGB instead of #SHO and finally got all the adapters to install the #ZWOCAA on the RedCat71. Already for #GalaxySeason now hopefully the weather will play ball. I need some #Astrophotography

Wow 2500 followers, I don’t know how that happened, but thank you to each and every one of you. Your likes and comments are very much appreciated. I’m so glad that my images and random post are of interest.

Next #Solar image this time with a longer video taken with the #SeeStar S30. Best 50% of frames stacked, wavelets in Astrosurface, final processing in #AfinityPhoto #Astrophotography

First proper go at #Solar #Astrophotography with the #SeeStar S30. Taken this morning. Plenty more capture videos to process

I’ve had a quick play in #Pixinsight with the M81 data from the #SeeStar S30. 153 minutes of 20 second subs. Unfortunately I didn’t set it to save each sub so I could stack the data myself

Successful first light for the #Seestar S30 last night. M81 Bodes Galaxy. 153 minutes in 20 second subs in equatorial mode. No processing yet other than the Ai Noise removal in the app. I can’t wait to give the data a go in #Pixinsight. Very impressed! #Astrophotography
