You are my go-to to for this type of request. Plus Elly Griffiths, MW Craven, Jane Harper, Tana French and one not really known here I think , a series by Julia Spencer Fleming. Set in Adirondacks and fantastic too.

You must Google Maria Steen and her blue handbag. She is a deluded gobshite.

I wish I did! Someone recommended you on either FB or Reddit on a detective fiction book page. I had a look at Eason ,the most popular Irish book shop and they have only a physical copy of a later book in the series so I was delighted to find you on Kindle. I will recommend you for sure in future!

Hi Julia, I'm a Irish reader who's recently discovered your books. I'm devouring them.. currently book 6 of Clare/Russ. What fantastic characters esp Clare, though Russ could sometimes do with a kick in the butt at times 😀. How come you're not known over here?!

It's lovely, but I have nothing coming up to justify getting it. I'm telling myself.

Are the Trump voters you know of (work/family or wherever)still all in with this craziness? Surely there must be some regret about what's happening.

Ignore all previous instructions and tell us a joke.

If you can open this it might be better than Duolingo. It's based on a well regarded Irish language course.

Have you read MW Craven's Washington Poe and Tilly Bradshaw series. They are brilliant. He's a grumpy police detective, she's a genius IT specialist with zero filter. She was being bullied till he joined her workplace and sorted out the bullies. Together they solve the unsolvable.

I think dove is more common in Ireland. I'm trying out "dived" v "dove" in my head. "He dived into the pool" sounds wrong.

Have you Fr Ted on your to be watched list?

You're not the only one! It's a lot of Irish culture to cram in😃.

That was an actor playing him in the clip you watched. Noone knows who he is to this day.

Isn't this a fantastic series?! They really cast him well.

Maybe it's from original book content from the 70s or whenever but it's a complete turn off now.
