Easter prayers for the resurrection of a just & inclusive reality for all beings. One in which we can all take pride & truly thrive. These wishes are uttered alongside the drumming of this extraordinary woodpecker – the 1st I've ever witnessed IRL – such a resonant voice from such a tiny body

For as long as I can remember there have been Tawny Frogmouths in the trees in this backyard. Even though they are nocturnal carnivores, they have weak feet & no talons, & therefore are not classified as owls. Where there's one, there's almost always two.🦉🦉

A new skin-signpost to honour my magnificent mother (a month since she left us today!) – to honour the act of creation, of connection and weaving, and the art and act of all the glorious and expansive maternal traits comprising 'mothering' in general. [text continued in replies].

An extraordinary image of the striped mackerel snapped by underwater photographer, Alex Mustard. This fish swims with its mouth open, using its gill rakers like a net to filter its food from the ocean. It almost looks like a glorious concertina built of iridescent silver taffeta.

#wintersolstice, 10 years ago, I was at Stonehenge recording some keepsake footage when suddenly out of nowhere a procession of neo-Druids emerged - definitely a case of being in the right place at the right time...One of those incredible experiences I'm so happy to have been able to capture.

So many of his cartoons affected me. But this one from 2012, feels particularly apt right now. Vale Michael Leunig.

Finally got my hair cut after two months chasing my tail doing other things. I'd forgotten how refreshing it feels. I love how in Arabic following a shower or haircut ppl will often say, "Na3iman" - a reminder of the blessing of cleanliness and rejuvenation. 🌱

When things feel too overwhelming, I like to take my mind somewhere that's either super vast or magically miniscule. Today, I choose to remind myself of the fact that scallops have up to 200 eyes & each eye has two retinas - kind of like a reflecting telescope.🔭
